This is a study with which I assisted. _______________________________________________________ Nationwide verbal SAT scores fell to their lowest level in years on the most recent administration of the test, and the College Board, which administers the SAT,has an explanation: Average SAT scores fell slightly for 2011 high-school graduates, as the number of test takers and the proportion of minority students grew, according to areport released on Wednesday by the College Board, which owns the test. |

I arrived in Washington last Friday morning, five days ago. It has been an extraordinarily busy five days, but I am mostly settled in at this point. My first stop on Friday afternon after landing and renting a car was at the Georgetown Medical Center. (I tried to find a Dunkin' Donuts first, but to no avail.) I had an infection on my thumb for the preceding few days, and it looked like it wasn't getting better. I was given a prescription for pain killers and antibiotics, the latter of which I am still on. |

I will be doing an internship with the Cato Institute's Center for Educational Freedom in Washington D.C. starting in the beginning of September and running through the middle of December. You may expect that I will be updating this Website about as frequently as I do now. As to the Minnesota-based political action committee "Simply Right" for which I serve as the executive director, it will continue to meet regularly courtesy of members I am appointing to run the group. |
